Some years ago Tim Ferriss interviewed Derek Silver (founder of CD Baby and others), who said "I make decisions about what I'm going to do based on "HELL YES!" Anything anyone pitches me that isn't absolutely "HELL YES!" is a Firm NO. Thanks but no. Else your time (your most precious resource in life) will be consumed by well meaning (or not so well meaning) parasites.
This is, perhaps, the best article I ever read of yours. Thank you! I think you should expand this into a book! There's a raw honesty about your doubts as a writer, the fear every time you set out to write - that, I found SO relateable. It's important for those of us who've had the rug of self-esteem yanked from beneath us, to look at someone like yourself, with all of your successes, and realize you feel exactly the same uncertainty we do. But, you did "it" despite the fear. Bravo.
We can compare ourselves to others and miss the beauty of our own life. I look out the window and see a neighbor helping my disabled husband weed his garden. This is the beauty of kindness. Look up from your phone and listen to people’s stories. They have a lot to teach us.
Perfect

I love that HELL YES!
I’ve just “found” you. Let’s be friends - I’m not usually this bold

As always, beautiful and true words from Regina!

ngozi Adichie wrote about the danger of a single story.
Write your own story. Don’t let others define you.
Beautiful! 👍💜
